Who we are
Columbus Gives Back is a volunteering-focused non-profit organization whose emphasis is on giving back to the city we love while fostering connections with and among our volunteers. CGB is founded on and guided by eight core values: community, compassion, inclusivity, adaptability, integrity, awareness, cooperation, authenticity and fun.
Our mission is to create a culture of community engagement by providing social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities to young professionals in Central Ohio.

"Since becoming an event leader, I feel more connected to my community than ever before. Not only have I met so many fun and interesting people who care about Columbus and helping others, I've been exposed to neighborhoods I might not have otherwise explored, and been introduced to non-profits doing incredible work that I hadn't heard of before."Kaiti B.

"I like Columbus Gives Back because everyone is openly friendly. The intense nature of some of my other activities means that people are mostly focused on the activity and not on making social connections. It's neat that people here are willing to hang out after events for a while instead of hurrying off to do something pseudo-important like going to Costco."JD V.

"I love how Columbus Gives Back meets want with need. As an individual it is hard to find where volunteers are needed most, but Columbus Gives Back helps those in need of volunteers find the volunteers themselves. It's a great system to help get more done in Columbus."Jenn A.

"I love the satisfaction that comes with seeing our impact in the community. For example, walking through Goodale Park after I’ve helped clean it up and lay down mulch. I love how passionate the team is about giving back and I love having the ability to meet so many generous, like-minded people."Tim O.
